Our June Study Club workshop will be devoted to Psychology, where we will be joined by experienced VCE teacher and author Ms. Natasha Perna. Natasha will introduce you to the topics covered in Unit 4 VCE Psychology, as well as share her tips on how to approach upcoming assessment and exam questions covering Area of Study 1 and Area of Study 2 including:
- the biological process of sleep and the influences of sleep on mental wellbeing
- the impact that changes to a person’s sleep-wake cycle and sleep hygiene have on a person’s psychological functioning
- the contribution that classical and contemporary research has made to the understanding of sleep.
- the ways in which mental wellbeing may be defined
- the concept of mental wellbeing as a continuum
- the applications of a biopsychosocial approach to explain specific phobias
Whilst this workshop is designed for students studying VCE Psychology Units 3 and 4, all interested students are welcome to attend.
