Councillor Peter Maynard

Iramoo Ward Councillor, Peter Maynard and served his third term as Mayor of Wyndham (2021/22). He was first elected to Council in 2012.

Cr Maynard also served as Wyndham’s Mayor for 2014/15 before being elected Mayor again for the 2017/18 term.

Passionate about all things community and sport, Cr Maynard has proudly called Iramoo Ward home since 1982. He is a proud father of four children and seven grandchildren.

Cr Maynard is Council’s Active City portfolio, which centres around fostering an active community where the community has opportunities to stay fit and healthy through leisure facilities, sport, clubs and associations, and access to active transport infrastructure.

He is also Wyndham City’s representative on the National Growth Areas Alliance Strategic Committee, the Victorian State Government’s Community Advisory Committee (Justice Precinct) and Council’s representative on the LeadWest Committee.
