Market stalls and food truck sites are now fully booked. If you would like to go on the waiting list please email tarneit@wyndham.vic.gov.au

What happens if it rains?

Weather will be monitored in the lead up and throughout the event.

If there is extreme weather forecast in the days leading up to the event, messaging will be placed on the Wyndham City website www.wyndham.vic.gov.au and the Wyndham City Facebook page to alert attendees that elements may be moved, postponed or cancelled.

Will there be food available for purchase?

Yes, there is a wide selection of food trucks on the night with savoury and sweet offerings including gluten free, halal and vegan options.

Do I need cash/card for purchases?

All market stalls and food trucks will have facilities for card payments.

What to bring?

Rug up and wear comfortable practical shoes. It may be a chilly night so layers and a rain jacket. The ground underneath can be uneven especially if there is rain prior, so practical footwear is highly recommended.

Is the event family friendly?

Yes, there is something on offer for all ages including kids’ activities and a parent’s room.

What measures can I take to ensure I’m quickly reunited with my child if we get separated?

Please make sure you supervise your children at all times.  Ensure your children have your contact details. These could be on a wristband, sticker, lanyard, or even written on their arm. Just make sure it’s easy for your kids, or event staff, to contact you should they get lost.

Take a picture of your children before you leave the house. If you are separated from your child when you are out, the photo can be used to provide an accurate description of what your child looks like to event staff.

Point out the Information Marquee and event staff such as security and first aid personnel to your children so they know who to ask for help if they become separated from you.

If you become separated from your child, please notify staff or security personnel immediately.

Can I bring my dog?

For their comfort and confidence, we recommend people leave their dogs at home.

Whilst dogs are permitted in the park on a lead, we kindly ask that you consider the wellbeing of your pet before bringing them along. The event includes light installations, loud sounds from the stage and is expected to attract a large number of people. This kind of environment may be a lot for your dog to take in and we recommend keeping them at home in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Will there be additional toilet facilities on site?

Yes, additional toilets will be on site with one accessible toilet and a Parent’s Room. Toilets are also available at Tarneit Gardens Shopping Centre.

FIRE

This year, we light the candle!

Firefly Night Market 2025 will feature a large-scale wooden fire sculpture designed to burn safely and spectacularly. The structure, in the shape of a candle, combines recycled materials, clever airflow design, and controlled flame display for a dramatic visual experience.

Come to the Fire Sculpture at 6:15pm to see dancers ignite the fire!

As well as the artistic sculpture, a second steel firepit will provide a steady source of warmth, creating a welcoming gathering point for attendees throughout the entire event.
