Werribee City Centre is warming up for the free Wyndham City Winter Street Party on Friday 28 June from 4pm to 9pm.

As the days get colder, the Winter Street Party always brings a warm glow to look forward to in winter.

This much-loved street festival will bring wintry fun to Watton Street, kicking off the school holidays with a huge program for the whole family to enjoy, including fire shows, street performers, interactive art installations, live entertainment, kids’ activities, snow play, delicious winter dishes and much more.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Jennie Barrera said: “Each year, we’ve seen the event continue to grow and we’re excited to see Watton Street again transform with a Winter celebration that brings local businesses, musicians, artists, sporting clubs and the community together in the midst of winter to have some fun.”

“There will be three zones to explore including the Live and Local that brings together many of our local sporting clubs, community groups and emergency services. The Winter Wonderland is filled with wintry fun and the After Dark Zone will engage all your senses with light, entertainment and music.”

“Bring your family and friends along and enjoy the magic of the Winter Street Party. Enjoy the entertainment, soak up the atmosphere and support local traders.”

“The highlight this year that is set to steal the show is Leor, a mesmerising four-metre-tall marionette which the kids will love.”

Wyndham City’s Creative City Portfolio Holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud said: “Businesses along Watton Street will be open late and will set up on the street with a range of offerings, pop-up activations and late-night shopping experiences. From delicious winter fare and alfresco dining areas to special retail offers, there’s something for everyone.”

“There will be two live music stages featuring local Wyndham musicians and performers to enjoy and the Winter Market will feature 30 local Wyndham artisans and makers.”

“Make sure you come hungry! From steaming-hot dumplings, tacos, popcorn, hot soups, pizza, and hot chocolates to family-friendly, dine-in options, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore Werribee’s very own ‘Eat Street’.”

The Passport Competition is also back. If you participate in this challenge on the night you can go in the draw to win some amazing prizes donated by local businesses including FREE ice cream for a year.

To safely set up and run the event there will be some rolling road closures and traffic management in place along Watton Street on Friday 28 June.

This will commence at 6am, with a full road closure from 10am to 2am on 28 June, enabling residents to safely enjoy all of the activities, pop-up business activations and alfresco dining on offer.

The Winter Street Party will be held from 4pm – 9pm, Friday 28 June 2024.
