Wyndham City has partnered with Western Edge to present their youth theatre program Edge Ensemble.
Edge Ensembles is a free theatre program for young people to learn performing arts fundamentals and create their own original theatre work for their communities. Across 20 weeks, young participants engage in weekly, two-hour sessions of co-designed creative theatre practice to create an original, professional theatre production performed in multiple arts venues across the West.
In 2024, Wyndham Edge’s Ensemble will meet for weekly sessions held at the Old Shire Offices in Werribee for young people aged 13-17 years old.
Western Edge will also deliver the Edge Ensemble program in Maribyrnong (Phoenix Youth Centre) and Brimbank (STACC) LGAs. Throughout the 20 weeks, all three Edge Ensembles will meet four times in a central location to develop the combined theatre production and foster peer connection and learning across these west-side LGAs.
