Wyndham City Council provides the Community Facility Subsidy to support Wyndham-based not for profit senior and disability groups to access space at council-owned community centres and community halls. The Community Facility Subsidy provides a contribution towards regular hire fees for eligible groups.
Applications will be accepted until funding is exhausted.

Community Facility Subsidy 2024
Eligibility Criteria for 2024
- Applicants must be Wyndham-based not-for-profit, incorporated, or volunteer-based groups or organisations
- The booking must be for a regular activity being provided to seniors (55+) and/or people with a disability
- Applicants must receive minimal or no funding to run the activity
- Minimum 75% of attendees must be Wyndham residents.
- The activity must be open to welcoming new members from the community.
- The activity must be covered by Public Liability Insurance
What does the Subsidy cover
- The subsidy covers a portion of regular hire fees for a maximum 6 hours per week at one council-owned community facility only.
- It is council’s discretion as to the portion of the hire fees that are covered by the subsidy
- The subsidy applies to regular bookings (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly) for the calendar year
How to apply for the Community Facility Subsidy
- Please liaise directly with the community centre staff to determine room availability for your booking enquiry
- Then, complete the Community Facility Subsidy 2024 Application Form
- Applicant to complete Section A and sign, then submit to facility staff at relevant facility
- Facility staff to complete Section B and sign
- Facility staff to submit completed form to Wyndham City at communityfacilitysubsidy@wyndham.vic.gov.au

Community Facility Subsidy 2025
Please note:
- Applications for 2025 subsidy are open and be accepted at any time until funding is exhausted for the 2025 year.
- Due to upcoming Election Period, Council is not able to notify any applicant of the subsidy outcome prior to October 28, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria for 2025
- Applicants must be Wyndham-based not-for-profit, incorporated, or volunteer-based groups or organisations
- The activity must be a regular activity being provided to seniors (55+) and/or people with a disability
- Applicants must provide evidence that the activity is being promoted as an activity for seniors and/or people with a disability
- Applicants must receive minimal or no funding to run the activity
- Minimum 80% of activity participants needing to be seniors (55+) and/or people with a disability
- Minimum 80% of attendees must be Wyndham residents
- The activity must be open to welcoming new members
- The activity must be covered by Public Liability Insurance
What does the Subsidy cover
- The subsidy provides a contribution towards regular hire fees at one council-owned community centre or community hall, as listed below
- Hour cap: The subsidy covers up to 6 hours per week, subject to the funding cap and centre availability
- Funding cap: The maximum value of the subsidy is up to $4,000 per group, subject to budget availability
- It is council’s discretion as to the portion of the hire fees that are covered by the subsidy
- The subsidy applies to regular bookings (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) for the calendar year
