Wyndham City is thrilled that Werribee has been announced as one of seven finalists in the 2024 TAC Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards.

Wyndham City’s Mayor Cr Jennie Barrera, said: “I encourage everyone in Wyndham to vote for Werribee.”

“It’s wonderful to see Werribee recognised as a finalist, but we need your help to win! It only takes a minute to vote and by doing so, you’ll be supporting our amazing local businesses and attractions.” Cr Barrera said.

Public voting is now open (worth 25 per cent of each town’s total score), and the Wyndham community is being encouraged to get behind Werribee.

Presented by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), these awards recognise towns that deliver amazing visitor experiences and are committed to growing visitation to their destination.

Finalists vying for the Top Tourism Town crown in the category for towns with a population over 5,000 include Werribee, Ballarat, Bendigo, Echuca, Mildura, Shepparton and Warrnambool.

“The Top Tourism Town Award helps to build awareness and drive visitation for our region – that’s good for business and good for our economy. Winners will progress to the national awards for a chance to be crowned Australia’s Top Tourism Town,” Cr Barrera said.

Voting is open until 24 June. Vote now at www.vtic.com.au/toptourismtown
