Active Holidays - Try Karate (5 to 18 years)

Join GKR Karate and try out Karate! This session is for 5 to 18 year olds.

GKR is a club for all ages and promotes self-defence, fitness, coordination, discipline, confidence and stress relief. People of all backgrounds train together and learn the art of karate in a safe, fun and encouraging environment.

This class is a great opportunity for siblings of multiple ages to give karate a go together. Basic moves will be taught in a simple way, easy for beginners to learn.

Feel stronger, more confident, fitter, more self-disciplined, improve concentration and behaviour.

If you enjoy the class, chat to the instructor to find out how you can carry on.

Please bring:

• a drink bottle with water
• wear comfortable clothing you can be active in

Wyndham Active Holidays is a partnership between Wyndham City Council and local community organisations. This session is a partnership with GKR Karate school.

The Active Wyndham Calendar aims to help more Wyndham residents to find physical activities that they enjoy. This session is part of the Active Holidays program, see the timetable here: wyndham.vic.gov.au/activeholidays

• If you feel unwell please consider whether you should attend the session.
• Please follow any processes in place as directed by the coaches.

Data collection and enquiries:

Registration information will be kept on a secure database and will be used in a statistical format for monitoring and evaluation purposes only. You may be contacted for feedback to help with course improvement/project evaluation. Medical information, name, age, gender and emergency contact details will be passed onto the coaches where required.
