Now it’s getting hot! When the summer temperatures reach the thirties and well above, we can usually retreat to the safety of an airconditioned room. Our plants are stuck out there and often need our help to survive: Especially if we are expecting to be eating them.
Join us for an illustrated discussion on how to ensure that your garden continues to thrive in the summer heat, as well as tips and ideas to continue your supply of lush, homegrown veggies throughout summer and into autumn.
The session will be presented Scott Hitchins, he has been working with sustainable, food-producing gardens for most of his life. He has qualifications in biological science, permaculture design, education, and is a founding member of Werribee Park Heritage Orchard.
