Homelessness Week 2024

In the lead up to Homelessness Week (August 5th – 11th), Wyndham City is coordinating a Donation Drive (3rd June – 5th August), collecting personal care items and long-life food at Community Centres to make up dignity packs to be distributed to community members as short-term emergency relief.

Homelessness Week is an annual week that aims to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness
in Australia, educate people about what support they can offer and preventative strategies, and encourage people in the community to donate items to assist those who are experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Our Community Centres currently support and facilitate several programs in response to the current community needs.

We need community support to ensure the success of our drive.

Please donate today.

Donated items can include:

Personal care items and toiletries (toothbrush, moisturiser, soap, sanitary items, etc), new socks, underwear, towels and face washers
Long life food, canned food, dry goods, and blankets
Donations will be accepted at most community centres from 3 June – 5 August 2024.

For a list of participating community centres and further information about the Donation Drive, see below list or contact Dianella Community Centre on 03 8742 8300 or dianellacc@wyndham.vic.gov.au
