Stage One: The first stage involves upgrading Old Melbourne Road and Rothwell Road, with an investment of $8 million. This stage will focus on a complete rebuild of:
- Old Melbourne Road (between Little River and Little River Road)
- Rothwell Road (between Old Melbourne Road and McLeans Road)
Future Stages: Stages two and three will include upgrades to:
- McLeans Road (between Flinders Street and Rothwell Road)
- Rothwell Road (between Flinders Street and McLeans Road)
These stages are subject to future funding.

These important upgrades address the significant growth in traffic seen in recent years, ensuring that Little River’s road infrastructure can safely accommodate increased traffic movement now and in the future.
