This $1.8 million Wyndham City project will widen and upgrade the road pavement at the Sewells Road and Dohertys Road intersection and introduce other safety features to enhance traffic capacity and improve overall vehicle mobility and flow.

Features

  • Widen and upgrade the road pavement to accommodate higher traffic volumes
  • Install new and upgraded traffic signs
  • Updated line markings
  • Install rumble strips to encourage drivers to slow down when approaching the intersection

This project is currently in the planning and design stage – stay tuned for further updates.

Benefits

  • Enhanced driver safety: these new safety features will provide clearer directions and warnings, helping drivers navigate the intersection more safely.
  • Reduced speed-related risks: rumble strips encourage drivers to slow down when approaching the intersection, lowering the likelihood of accidents.

This important project is a key part of Wyndham City’s Connecting Wyndham program, which is creating a safer, more efficient, and connected transport network for residents and visitors alike.
