Werribee Park Heritage Orchard

We are the only publicly owned stone fruit orchard left in Victoria we are situated on Parks Victoria's Werribee Park Mansion river flat.  We hold free workshops for volunteers every Friday from 10.00am-12.00pm lead By Harticulturist and Author Craig Castree and others teaching you how to keep healthy fruit trees by getting hands on education attending to the hundreds of heritage trees in the orchard.  

We teach people how to prune and graft and a whole range of other practices so that you can apply on your own trees at home and in doing so the orchard is maintained by the volunteers, we have two main fund raising days on 3rd Sunday in July and the 2nd Sunday in February being our two grafting days where we make scion available for people to graft with after we show them how, or they can have one of us graft a new tree for them on a rootstock to take home thus perpetuating these varieties in the community.
