Terms and Conditions
- By making a submission to Youth Voice, a webpage published by Wyndham City Council (‘Council’) on its website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- To be eligible to make a submission you must be aged between 14 and 21 and live, work, or study in Wyndham.
- If you are aged under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s consent to make a submission to Youth Voice. You acknowledge and agree that Council may contact the parent or guardian listed in your submission form at any time for the purpose of confirming that consent has been obtained.
- To make a submission, you must upload your submission and a properly completed online submission form via Council’s website at www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/youth-voice. Submissions which are incomplete will not be accepted.
- You may make multiple submissions to Youth Voice, provided that each complies with these terms and conditions. Up to three pieces may be included per submission. Repeated submissions of the same piece will not be accepted.
- Submissions must:
- be your own original work;
- not have been created using any artificial intelligence (‘AI’) or chatbots, such as ChatGPT;
- not contain any inflammatory or defamatory material;
- not infringe a third party’s intellectual property rights;
- be submitted in English;
- meet the following requirements:
- poems must be a maximum of 300 words;
- fiction pieces must be a maximum of 1,500 words; and
- art or photography pieces must be in a minimum resolution of 1200 x 1800;
- be submitted in JPEG, PNG, PDF or Word document format (.doc or .docx); and
- each file submitted as part of your submission must not exceed 10mb in file size.
- Where a person is capable of being identified in your submission, you must obtain that person’s consent (or their parent or legal guardian’s consent where that person is under 18) to be included in your submission. Evidence of such consent must be provided to Council upon request.
- Each month, Council officers will select up to three submissions from all of those received in the month prior to be published on the Youth Voice webpage on Council’s website.
- You acknowledge that you retain copyright in your submission.
- You grant Council a perpetual, irrevocable and royalty-free licence to publish, cause to be published or otherwise use your submission (whether in whole or in part) on the Youth Voice webpage on Council’s website.
- You acknowledge and agree that your name will be published in connection with your submission in accordance with the form of acknowledgement you have specified in your submission form.
- You acknowledge that upon publication of your submission online, it will become capable of being shared, saved or otherwise distributed by the public. You agree that Council accepts no responsibility or liability for the way that members of the public use, share, save or otherwise distribute your submission once it has been published online.
- You must indemnify and hold harmless Council, its councillors and employees against all claims arising in connection with a breach or potential breach of these terms and conditions.
- Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, invalid or corrupt submissions.
- Nothing in these terms and conditions or in the conduct between you and Council creates a relationship of agency, partnership, employer and employee or joint venture between you and Council.
- Council reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without notice to you.
