It’s important to look after yourself when committing to a volunteer role. Avoid over committing yourself and say ‘no’ when you need to. Be realistic about your goals and ambitions and avoid setting unrealistic deadlines for yourself. Ask your supervisor for help when you need it and give yourself plenty of time to relax and unwind. Don't forget, to take a break when you need it.
