Concept
Cosmic Reverie will take the viewer on a journey from dusk to dawn through a pop-surrealist
dreamscape with a cartoon aesthetic. A childlike character will appear throughout the illustrations, as she floats through the night sky she reaches for and catches stars along her way, symbolising the quest to achieve one’s dreams. Other playful characters will also appear throughout the designs that draw inspiration from nostalgic toys. The light-hearted illustrations will feature some common elements such as melting objects or stars, starry skies, and a unified lolly shop colour palette. The dreamy series will conclude with a rainbow sunrise.

Bio
Teeny Fletcher is a pop surrealist sculptor, toy customiser and digital artist living in Werribee. Teeny Fletcher specialises in crafting imaginative sculptures with epoxy clay, customising art toys and drawing colourful digital illustrations. Her artistic practice draws inspiration from childhood memories, 80s nostalgia, animals, fantasy worlds, and the strong connection she has with her inner child.
Teeny Fletcher’s work often explores common themes of dreaming, night and reverie through the imaginary resulting in the playful characters she designs. Her interest in states of consciousness arises from being a prolific sleepwalker as a child, and battling bouts of insomnia throughout adulthood. Across multiple mediums Teeny Fletcher works with a unified aesthetic described as cartoon semi-realism with a pinch of wonder and a soft rainbow colour palette.
