Wyndham City is pleased to announce that construction has begun at Fortitude Drive Reserve, located on the corner of Morris Road and Fortitude Drive in Truganina.
The development will be delivered in two stages: the Active Open Space and Sporting Pavilion.
Wyndham City is investing $10.1 million into Stage One of the Active Open Space, which will include an Athletics Facility with supporting infrastructure, Car Park, Play Space, Grassed Multi-Use Courts, Landscaping, Shelter, BBQ and Picnic Facilities, Circuit Track, Path network and lighting.
Stage Two of the project will include the construction of the Sports Pavilion, equipped with a social room, change rooms, storerooms, and a kiosk.
Construction on Stage One of this project is set to conclude in late 2025 with Stage Two currently in the design phase.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw said: “This reserve will be an asset to the Truganina community.”
“We are committed to providing the diverse infrastructure needed to encourage our community to lead more active lifestyles.”
This project aligns with the Fortitude Drive Reserve Masterplan and forms part of the Truganina Precinct Structure Plan.
Wyndham City thanks the State Government for their $908,000 contribution to this project.
