Wyndham City is proud to announce Milan Gurung as the One Wyndham recipient for April.
Milan is an enthusiastic and positive role model and has taken on numerous school leadership roles including College Captain, Middle School Ambassador, Campus Tour Guide, Student Leadership Council Representative and assisted on book collection and stationery pack days at Good News Lutheran College.
Milan also contributed to the ‘Helping Hands’ initiative and helped lead a school-wide campaign to collect plastic bottle tops which were turned into prosthetic limbs for amputees.
He is passionate about inclusion and inspires young people with his positivity and empathy, contributing to create a united Wyndham.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said: “Milan is a positive role model. Through volunteering and giving back to the community, he demonstrates his commitment to the Wyndham community.”
“Wyndham City thanks Milan for his efforts and his enthusiasm.”
One Wyndham recipients are residents aged between 12 to 25 who positively contribute to the Wyndham community and are role models to other young people.
Each month Council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ‘Young Person of the Month’.
Winners are awarded a $300 gift voucher of their choice and other prizes.
