Walk, ride or scoot your way along Tarneit’s wayfinding trail!
The bright and decorative path features five beautiful ground murals, that provide directional signage along the shared path that starts near the Cowies Hill Water Tower and finishes at Derrimut Road, Tarneit.
The trail is designed to encourage locals to get around Tarneit using active transport and celebrate community facilities and activity centres along the way.The directional signage makes it easy to find your way to each destination along with some glorious stops enroute to take a break and enjoy the sunshine. It’s great for exploring with the family or just getting from A to B.
The murals along the two kilometre path showcase community facilities and activity centres. These highlights include Tarneit Gardens Shopping Centre, Tarneit Central Shopping Centre, Penrose Community Centre and Tarneit Community Learning Centre.
The trail is further brightened by planter boxes with seating, ‘living furniture’, that give travellers a place to stop and smell the flowers and the installation of 46 solar lights.
Thanks to everyone who came down to the community painting day on Fri 20 Jan 2023 to help finish off the mural near Penrose Community Centre!
