Incursions for Wyndham schools are provided free of charge by Wyndham City’s Waste & Litter Education Officers. We encourage educators to expand the learnings from these sessions with follow up activities and further discussion. 

Please submit your completed Booking and Conditions Form at least two weeks prior to your requested session date. One of our Waste Education officers will email you to confirm your booking time and date.
 

Privacy collection statement

Your personal information is being collected by Wyndham City Council for the purpose of Council’s communication with Wyndham Teachers Environment Network members in relation to meetings, environmental resources, programs, events and grants. Your information will be stored in Council’s Customer Database and used to identify you when communicating with Council and for delivery of services and information to you about School Incursion Booking. By registering your details, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as stated in the Terms and Conditions. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our educators have current Working With Children Checks, which they will bring on the day. A copy may be provided prior to the event by request.

The following conditions apply to all incursions and should be agreed upon by all teachers participating in the sessions: 

  1. The room needs to be available at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the session as the Waste Education Officer may need to set up materials in the room. 
  2. The classroom teacher must be present in the classroom for the entire session to provide duty of care to the students. 
  3. The classroom teacher must enforce their disciplinary action in the session. 
  4. Maximum number of students per session is 30.  
  5. Minimum age requirement for incursions are 4+
