Wyndham City’s free Park Lounge event is set to return to Kelly Park this summer on Saturday 1 February 2025 as part of Melbourne’s annual Midsumma Festival.
Celebrating queer culture and expression, Park Lounge will feature a sparkling new line-up of LGBTQIA+ artists and allies who will light up the stage with music, dance, and performance.
Park Lounge will feature a fantastic stage program this year, with host Aysha Buffet and performances by Saint Ergo, Barr Bee Doll, Squid Nebula, DJ Gaff E and the Arcoiris Queer Latin Group.
You can expect plenty of disco and country influences, with the line up including alt country crooner Leroy Macqueen, Sunshine and Disco Faith Choir, and boot scooting fun with Disco Rodeo Boot Scooting.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw encouraged residents to enjoy this much-loved, event, which is now in its thirteenth year.
“There will also be a range of stalls to explore and a craft workshop to enjoy before you relax out on the lawn and enjoy the entertainment as the sun goes down.”
“Park Lounge is always such a joyful event, where everyone is invited to come as they are and to dance the night away in a safe, inclusive and welcoming space.” Cr Shaw said.
Bring a picnic blanket and grab some dinner from the onsite food trucks or enjoy an early dinner or grab-and-go option at your favourite local restaurant in Werribee City Centre. Picnics are also welcome.
