The Green Room Project Expression of Interest

About The Green Room Project

Are you passionate about storytelling and the magic of theatre? The Green Room Project is a dynamic new initiative designed to nurture aspiring playwrights, foster creativity, and connect emerging writers with industry professionals.

Offered in partnership with Melbourne Writers’ Theatre, this free immersive playwriting program will be held in the City of Wyndham for the first time in 2025. Twelve selected writers will embark on a journey to develop and complete a brand-new short play, guided by experienced facilitators and professional actors.

This program is perfect for writers at the beginning of their playwriting journey. While applications from those with some experience will be considered, priority will be given to those with little or no playwriting background.

The program is open to all writers aged 18+ who live, work or play in the City of Wyndham. We strongly encourage applications from writers of diverse cultural backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives.
