About the Artist

Steve Weller

I’ve chosen to examine the ability of photography to capture incredible detail and at the same time being able to create very large prints. Each work consists of many smaller photos that have been digitally joined together, much like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. This allows the viewer to be both immersed in the details as well as relating to the ‘whole body’ of the object. This work follows my ongoing investigation into the vibrant life and inner dramas etched into the surrounding surfaces by the everyday forces of nature and man.
