AMES Australia has many government subsidised programs to help migrants and refugees to advance their careers in Australia, including:

SYC

SYC is a non for profit organisation who exists so everyone can succeed, offering assistance throughout Australia in different programs such as Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services, Transition To Work and Parents Next. We also focus greatly on youth homelessness in South Australia.

Wyndham Community and Education Centre

Based in Wyndham for almost 50 years, Wyndham CEC empowers individuals aged 16-64 to participate in a diverse range of local employment and education offerings. These include Reconnect, African Employment Broker and Connecting Carers program. These programs provide a broad range of support, personally tailored to meet individual’s needs. Our strong relationships with reputable businesses enable us to job match candidates to available roles. Wyndham CEC also offer a wide range of training options and short courses to compliment these services in developing job readiness and a variety of employability skills.

Youth Projects

With a range of employment and training programs, as well as a drop-in centre in the middle of Werribee, Youth Projects is actively supporting young people into work in Wyndham. Youth Projects provides individualised support, hands on training opportunities and a range of programs to help young people gain the necessary skills, attitudes and behaviours that will help them secure and maintain employment.
