Do you love dinosaurs? Yes? Then you will love this drawing competition! Pick a letter of the alphabet and draw us a dinosaur that starts with that letter. Your dinosaur can either be a real one or one you make up. Collect an entry form in branch and submit your drawing at any library or enter here on this page. Prizes include signed books, Lego and pop vinyls. The competition is open to children aged 5-12.

Library Drawing Competition Terms and Conditions
This competition is run by Wyndham City Council in the state of Victoria, Australia only.
- By submitting an entry to this competition on behalf of your child, you:
- confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian (‘parent’);
- consent to your child entering this competition; and
- accept these terms and conditions of entry.
- Entries which do not comply with these terms and conditions will not be valid and will not be accepted.
- Entrants must be aged between 5 and 12 and be a Wyndham City Libraries member. Council staff, Councillors and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
- The competition starts at 9:00am on 5 May 2025 and ends at 5:00pm on 30 May 2025 (‘competition period’). Entries received outside of this period will not be accepted.
- To enter the competition, during the competition period, you must either:
- upload an image of your child’s completed drawing and submit a properly completed online entry form via Council’s website; or
- submit your child’s completed drawing and properly completed hard copy entry form at a Wyndham City Libraries branch during opening hours.
- Entries must:
- meet the competition theme of dinosaurs;
- be drawn on plain, A4 sized paper;
- be your child’s own original work; and
- not contain any offensive or inappropriate material, or infringe a third party’s intellectual property rights.
Council reserves the right to exclude from entry any entries which in its reasonable opinion breaches this condition.
- Only one entry per entrant will be accepted. Entries will not be returned at the end of the competition.
- The competition will be judged on 5 June 2025 by Council staff. Two winners will be chosen from each age group (5-8 and 9-12). Each winner will receive a signed junior book chosen by Council staff and a Pop Vinyl figurine or Lego set, valued at $35-$45. The total prize pool is valued at $175.
- The parent of each competition winner will be contacted by telephone on 5 June 2025. Winners may subsequently be announced on Council’s website and the Libraries in Wyndham Facebook page.
- If a winner’s parent cannot be contacted by 5:00pm on 13 June 2025, Council may opt to conduct further judging to determine a new winner.
- If a prize has not been claimed by 5:00pm on 27 June 2025, the winner will be deemed to have surrendered the prize and Council may opt to conduct further judging to award the unclaimed prize.
- Council may require a winner’s parent to provide evidence of the winner’s identity and/or that are a member of Wyndham City Libraries. If there is a dispute as to the identity of a winner, Council reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to determine the identity of a winner.
- You grant Council a perpetual, irrevocable and royalty-free licence to:
- display your child’s entry, in whole or in part, at any Wyndham City Libraries branch, whether in hard copy or on the branch’s TV display screens; and
- publish, cause to be published or otherwise use your child’s entry in whole or in part:
- on Council’s website and social media pages, including but not limited to the Libraries in Wyndham Facebook page; and
- in a picture book to be published containing entries from the 2025 and previous years Library Drawing Competition,
for the purpose of promoting the Library Drawing Competition.
You acknowledge and agree that your child’s name and age may be published in connection with the announcement of the competition winners and/or the publication of their entry.
You must indemnify and hold harmless Council, its councillors and employees against all claims arising in connection with a breach or potential breach of these terms and conditions.
- Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
- Council accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, invalid or corrupt entries.
- If for any reason the competition cannot be run as planned, Council reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time.
- Council’s decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
